ITINERARY
DELHI – AGRA – DELHI 203 Kms, Approx 4 hrs drive one way.
07:30 - In the morning after early breakfast assemble in the hotel’s Lobby and leave for Agra.
11:30 – 12:45 - Upon arrival in Agra, visit the magnificent Taj Mahal, the world-famous white marble mausoleum built by Emperor Shah Jahan in loving memory of his beloved wife, Mumtaz Mahal. Completed in 1653, this architectural masterpiece is widely regarded as one of the most beautiful buildings in the world and stands as an enduring symbol of eternal love and devotion.
The Taj Mahal represents the finest example of Mughal architecture, blending Persian, Islamic, and Indian architectural styles into a harmonious and breathtaking design. Its stunning white marble façade, intricate carvings, precious stone inlay work, and perfectly symmetrical gardens leave visitors spellbound. Recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1983, the Taj Mahal continues to attract millions of travelers from across the globe, making it one of India’s most cherished and iconic landmarks.
13:00–14:00 - Lunch at the Local Restaurant.
14:30–15:30 - After the Lunch, visit magnificent Agra Fort, a massive red sandstone fortress that dominates a bend of the Yamuna River, located about 2 km northwest of the Taj Mahal in Agra. Built by the Mughal Emperor Akbar between 1565 and 1571, this grand fort served as the main residence of the Mughal rulers for several generations and stands as a powerful symbol of their architectural brilliance and imperial strength.
The fort houses an impressive collection of palaces, audience halls, and beautiful mosques constructed in red sandstone and later enhanced with white marble by successive emperors, including Akbar, Jahangir, and Shah Jahan. Notable structures such as the Diwan-i-Khas and Musamman Burj reflect the artistic excellence and refined taste of Mughal architecture, making Agra Fort an essential stop for visitors exploring the rich history of the Mughal era.
15:30 – 16:00 hrs : Shopping at Agra which is famous for its marble and soft-stone inlay work, leather goods, brassware and carpets which involve delicate yarn overlays. Semi-precious and precious jewellery in ornate Mughal style is also available.
16:30 hrs - Later drive back to Delhi with lovely memories of this heritage tour and drop to hotel at around 21:00 hrs.
